Napa’s AKC Therapy Dogs are certified by Paws for Healing at Astro’s Agility Adventureland. The class schedule is TBA, but you begin training my taking the AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certification. You will then have a series of courses which will eventually take you on-site at local hospitals, hospices and nursing homes to complete your training to bring comfort to people suffering from diseases such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s and other diseases that cause them to live out their final years in semi-reclusion in rest homes.
